Recap: commercetools Partner Day 2017 #ctpd17

Last week, we welcomed our European partners to this year’s commercetools partner day. Taking place in beautiful Cologne in the west of Germany, we invited integration and technology partners to connect, to share insights and to talk about what we are planning for 2018.

Being in Cologne, it made perfect sense to invite everybody to one of those typical breweries the night before the actual event. We had a great time with traditional Cologne food and a few rounds of “Kölsch.”

The next day, we gathered at the RheinEnergie-Stadion (home of the 1. FC Köln, the local soccer team who have had a bit of trouble lately), where we had a nice business lounge to ourselves – including great views of the soccer pitch. In the introductory sessions, our guests learned about our vision for the future as well as business development and partner-co-marketing activities for 2018. Afterwards, the guys from Shopmacher, Tieto, dotSource and foryouandyourcustomers presented current customer projects on stage, which went down very well and caused a good and constructive discussion in the audience.

In the afternoon, our event team had something prepared that really supported our claim “commerce at the speed of wow”: In the underground car park, we had a kart racing rack – so everybody could jump into one of those karts and test his or her driving skills. We saw sweaty and happy faces all over the place and felt a lot of adrenaline in the air.

To conclude the event, we had a little award ceremony, recognizing some of the most impressive projects which have been realized this year. Thank you very much to all of you who have made this possible – we surely had a great time and are looking forward to next year!
